The Centre for French History and Culture is delighted to welcome the Society for the Study of French History to St Andrews. The Society will hold its 29th Annual Conference here from 28-30 June 2015.

We have received a wide range of quality submissions for papers and panels from scholars working on French and Francophone history, and have put together a full and varied programme. Links to the Programme, and for Registration will be posted on the conference webpage shortly.

The conference theme is “Turning Points in French History“. This has been chosen for the plenary sessions because of the number of significant anniversaries that fall in 2015 (1415 Azincourt, 1515 Accession of François Ier, 1615 Closing of the Estates General until 1789, 1715 Death of Louis XIV and accession of Louis XV, 1815 End of Napoleonic era, 1940 Fall of France).

Please address any correspondence about the conference to this email address: [email protected]
